Cultivate Research Partnerships
Why is it Important for Cultivate Biologics to Fund Research
Cultivate Biologics believes in the potential of botanicals to make a profound impact on human health. This belief drives our dedication to accelerating research along with university and industry partners. In our Colorado-based facilities, we have developed a fully integrated, wholly owned cultivation approach that ensures the consistency of botanical-based ingredients. Our process, which is unique to the industry, removes the primary hurdle in botanical-based formulations: uncertainty. Removing uncertainty from the supply chain, both from a harvest and genomic standpoint, makes our botanical supply ideal for clinical drug research.
Our Botanical Ingredient Expertise Began with Breakthroughs in Cannabinoid Research
Advancing the Science of Cannabinoids
The Cultivate Health Research Program is foundational in our mission to be the scientific leaders in the field of cannabinoid research, and we know the best way to accomplish this goal is to do so collaboratively. There is a growing body of evidence showing that extracts from the hemp plant, including cannabinoids and terpenes, have potential health benefits in humans and animals. The potential benefits hold promise in many specific therapeutic areas, in addition to helping maintain general wellbeing.
There is a large diversity of phytochemicals in the hemp plant, which contains more than 120 different cannabinoids, 200+ potential terpenes, and flavonoids with dramatic variations between strains. Cannabinoid research lies on the cutting edge of science, still offering multiple paths for discovery benefiting human and animal health. With the Endocannabinoid system being discovered in 1992, understanding the biological activity, therapeutic potential, and the possible synergistic or additive effects of these compounds is just beginning.
Through the Cultivate Health Research Program, we freely provide cannabinoid extracts and formulations for qualified research institutions. The extracts are derived from our proprietary strains of hemp and supported by our technical expertise to ensure successful preclinical and clinical investigator-initiated research projects. We also fund select research studies that support Cultivate Biologics research and development needs.
